Like spring, fall is a season of change. The trees show this well, as their color changes from green to various
shades of yellow, orange, purple, brown, and/or red.

I photographed this sugar maple each Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM for four consecutive weeks.
The sun was low in the sky, to the right, which provided soft side light for the branches and accentuated the texture of the
tree. During each of the first three weeks, I love the way the leaves appear to "glow." On week four, the branches
were nearly bare and the ground was covered in a thick layer of crunchy, reddish-brown leaves, thanks in part to a weekend
storm that had brought lots of wind. All four weeks are shown beside this text, from top left, to top right,
to bottom left, to bottom right.
